This will not be the top fight you might think of, but it will be entertaining as both those two pugilists are very talented.

Arthur, however, cannot be underestimated. The Manchester fighter is still unbeaten, and on Saturday it will be the second defence of his Commonwealth title. The last fight he had was against Spelman with the champion that managed to win a unanimous decision after 12 rounds. Arthur will try to keep Yarde at bay, but it will not be an easy task.

Who will win Anthony Yarde v Lyndon Arthur fight?

Arthur has undoubtedly a huge career in front of him, but, in our opinion, this will be by far the most difficult challenge he has ever face. Yarde is more experienced having faced already the likes of Kovalev, and Arthur he is surely not punching like Kovalev. Yarde has the ring awareness to be on top of Arthur from the start. For those reasons, we do not see this fight going the distance. After all, only once Yarde has gone to the distance in his 20 victories to date. He is capable of unleashing his powerful punch that should end this one around the fifth or six-round.

Anthony Yarde has already seen what it means to take on big fighters as he has challenged Russian Sergey Kovalev to win the WBO light heavyweight title at the Traktor Sport Palace in August 2020. The London boxer did well in Russia and went close to stop Kovalev in the eight-round, but the latter managed to hang on and eventually took advantage of Yarde running out of energy and knocked him out. That was the first defeat as a professional boxer, and many believe it is just a matter of time before he will get a world title belt around his waist. Yarde has already held the WBO Intercontinental light heavyweight and the WBO European belts. This weekend he will attempt to take Arthur’s Commonwealth title. After losing to Kovalev, Yard has bounced back with two consecutive KO wins over Diego Jair Ramirez and Dec Spelman.
