Following a 2/1 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Friday 23rd February. P&L +22.40pts.
4:25 Lingfield- Perfect Illusion 11/10 (4pt)
Perfect Illusion was well backed on his debut last month and bolted up by 12 lengths. He ran to an RPR of 87 that day which is the highest in this line up and he should prove really difficult to beat. Nathaniel’s offspring have proven to progress over time so he should have lots of improvement to come and this Derby entrant should win comfortably.
7:00 Dundalk- Feisty Katerina 10/1 (0.5pt ew)
Feisty Katerina ran an amazing race on debut finishing a close up third at 33/1 at Fairyhouse. She was then pitched into a Group 2 and ran with credit even though she finished last. She disappointed at Galway on her last run as a 2 year old but returns here after 157 days off with 7lb claimer Gavin Ryan booked for the ride. She has the best form on offer in the race but faces a well bred debutant who heads the market. Even in that case I think Feisty Katerina is worth chancing at a double figure price on her AW debut.
